Applying for Insulation Grants

Who can apply?

All homeowners, including landlords, whose homes were built and occupied before 2011 can apply. This is defined as the date your electricity meter was installed.

Grant funding can only be issued once per property for each type of works. This means that any property which previously availed of wall insulation via the Better Energy Homes scheme, or any other government scheme, cannot receive additional support for further wall insulation works.

    What steps do I take?

    1. Fill out this SEAI form (Download from here) detailing what insulation you require and the Insulation contractor you wish to use, e.g Kilsarn Warmer Homes, post or apply online.
    2. Wait for approval from SEAI.
    3. When you get approval, contact your Insulation Contractor and work can be scheduled.
